There is a saying: when one door closes the other one opens. You may have found yourself wondering: “what now?”, once the doors to the outer world closed, and the inner world became more apparent to explore.
It is like walking into a closet that has not been visited in a while. Whatever it is that we encounter it is our closet, so why not befriend it, we know it is there.
You might discover you outgrew the clothes, your style has changed, some items you kept just because and now you are willing to let go. Same goes with emotional realm and attached stories to these emotional states. Unprocessed emotions tend to direct our responses and determine the quality of life and its relevance, but what if we start spending some time with these emotions during stillness and meditation, or quiet reflective walks? Having a relationship with the inner world through an open communication provides insights and compassion to ourselves.
How do we deal with challenges, usually highlights how we are feeling inside. Awareness is a doorway to explore the inner world, to check in, become familiar and present, to be.
Not judging our experience, rather understanding how our believes are formed is a modality of increasing being clear minded—more common term mindfulness.
